Talent Director

Description

  • Provides strategic plan for leading talent that aligns with the business objectives and mission;
  • Provides guidance and support to the senior leadership team on HR related matters;
  • Manages the HR budget and resources efficiently;
  • Handles payroll processing, audits, labour tracking and employee leaves in accordance with applicable legislation;
  • Oversees the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews and selection of qualified candidates;
  • Develops and maintains an effective orientation and onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires;
  • Implements talent acquisition, development and management strategies, including performance reviews, employee development and training, and succession planning;
  • Serves as the point of contact for employee relations matters, concerns and grievances, supports employee growth and development through coaching and mentorship opportunities, records all disciplinary decisions;
  • Promotes a positive work environment, employee engagement and morale;
  • Prepares and enforces HR policies and procedures to maintain a compliant, safe and respectful work environment;
  • Manages compensation and benefits programs, ensuring the company remains competitive and compliant with relevant legislation and regulations;
  • Manages workers’ comp cases and documents employee incidents; 
  • Reviews and updates the compensation structure regularly, to maintain competitive advantage to hire and retain diverse top talent;
  • Maintains accurate records and ensures proper confidentiality and security measures are in place; and 
  • Stays informed about relevant labour legislation, regulations and ensures the company’s practices are in compliance.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field;
  • Proven experience as an HR leader, with minimum of One (1) to Three (3) years of progressive experience in HR management;
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and HR best practices;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office;
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills; and
  • Strong references.

Compensation

$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
