Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for all, but not limited to, the following:
- Provides visionary leadership to inspire staff and stakeholders to work collectively to realizing the common goals
- Leads, mentors and empowers a diverse team, prioritizes fostering a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes collaboration, creativity and professional growth
- Assist in operations during peak hours to ensure business success
- Handling all scheduling changes / modifications including: Call outs, Approval of shift changes and swaps, Approval of vacation requests, Approval of shift modifications / additions / subtractions
- Assisting with schedule set up in conjunctions with the Operator and or Humans Resources Director
- Manage inventory including
- Weekly inventory counts – all items
- Daily Spot counts of primary items: Ice Dream, Shake Base, Paper Goods, Sauces, Other items to be added as needed
- Oversee daily operations including review of Inform system to review: Daily Sales, Discounts / Promos, Cash Management
- Advise operator on changes to business operations which would increase operational excellence.
- Exemplify Core 4 while assisting restaurant in executing the Winning Hearts Every Day Strategy.
- Meets with all Shift Leaders on a regular basis, to hold staff accountable for quality and operational standards, ensuring customer experience and profitability goals are met
- Assist restaurant in maintaining excellent food safety and quality scores: Quality Improvement Visits and SAFE Visits
- Ensures the continuity of systems such as cleaning, waster tracking and operational procedures
- Implement and execute on training program as outlined by owner / operator
- Oversee discipline and coaching of team members and shift leaders in order to ensure growth, personal development, and accountability
Requirements
· Previous experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant industry preferred
· Must be legally allowed to work past 9 PM in Alberta
· Must be legally permitted to work in Canada
· Must be able to bend and lift up to 50lbs and perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, bending, walking, handling materials, boxes, equipment, pots and pans, and navigating shelving both high and low
· Must be able to work outside and stand for prolonged periods of time
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is essential
· Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
· Must have strong attention to detail and ability to take direction and learn
· Must be able to meet minimum availability requirements
· Must be able to work within the hours of 9:00am to 11:30pm
· Must be able to meet minimum availability requirements – availability 5 days/week, 35 hours/week, including opening/closing 2x Monday-Thursday, opening/closing 2x Friday-Saturday, and providing flexibility with availability to help meet business needs
· Must have a reliable means of transportation and be able to arrive on time for work with consistency
· Food safety certification is required within 30 days of employment.

Compensation
Starting full-time wage range from $40,000-$50,000 per annum.
